Usually nothing: a small text or image challenge appears only when the session is flagged.

[ 02 ]Why it is hard

With almost no challenge to recognise, the decision is made on fingerprint and reputation, so the problem moves from image recognition to browser realism: canvas, WebGL, font and timing surfaces all have to agree with the user agent being claimed. MTCaptcha is sold into banks, healthcare and government, and those deployments sit behind stricter network policy than consumer sites, so datacentre ranges draw a challenge far more often.

Send the page URL and the sitekey from mtcaptchaConfig; the verified token comes back as mtcaptcha-verifiedtoken, ready for the hidden field. Solves run in real browser profiles whose fingerprint surfaces match the user agent reported back to you, so the token and the request you replay it in look like the same client. If the target scores your IP range down, the proxy task type mints the token from the exit you are going to submit from.

$2.18 per 1,000 successful solves, failures not billed. That is the same tier as Turnstile and reCAPTCHA v3, which are the types it competes with.

Use one when the site is in a regulated vertical or when you are on a datacentre range. MtCaptchaTaskProxyless works on ordinary deployments, but the token is scored against the IP that submits it, so matching exits raises the pass rate on strict targets.

Treat it as single-use and submit it immediately. Tokens are minted per page session, so holding one in a queue for minutes is the most common cause of a valid-looking token being rejected.

Both are low-friction European alternatives, but Friendly Captcha is proof of work and has no challenge at all, while MTCaptcha keeps a real text or image fallback for flagged sessions. They use different task types and different response fields.
